Can Wii Addons Be Dangerous?

If you never thought Wii addons could be dangerous, think again. Some gamers are calling the new Wii Bowling Ball the most dangerous Wii accessory yet.

The Wii Bowling Ball, made by CTA Digital, is an addon compatible with Wii Bowling on the popular game Wii Sports. The ball opens up so users can put their Wii remotes inside and then use the ball like they would a normal bowling ball.

Certain gaming experts have concerns that users will release the ball as they would a real bowling ball, doing damage to their TV sets and, even worse, other people. Although the ball comes with warnings, these are unlikely to stop overzealous Wii gamers.

Nintendo has tried to distance itself from the bowling ball addon, presumably because of the inherent liability issues. CTA Digital makes clear in the ball's manual that the product is not licensed or sponsored by Nintendo in any way.
