Wii in Stock with Major Retailers at Last

wii in stock

After years of shortages and clamoring demand, gamers can finally find the Wii in stock at major retailers. The top video game boutique retailer in the U.S., GameStop, now has enough Wii devices on their shelves to satisfy demand.

Gone are the days when buyers had to wait in line for a console and/or call constantly to check availability. Before now, most buyers purchased their Wiis at premium prices on auction sites like eBay.

"Three years later, we finally have enough inventory on the shelf, and we've got a couple of weeks in supply," GameStop's VP of merchandising said.

Nintendo has ramped up production and distribution of the unexpectedly popular console for years in order to keep pace with burgeoning demand. Now, gamers can finally walk into retailers like Target, Wal-Mart, and GameStop and have a decent chance of picking up the console.
